Obituary of Helen Catherine Craig
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Catherine, on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the age of 96. Predeceased by her devoted husband, Bob, in 2002. Sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her sons and their wives; Glen and Jackie, Greg and Michele, Gary and Lisa, the late Gord (2020) and Emily, Graham and Liz, Grant and Gayle. Cherished by 13 grandchildren; Tanya, Darren, Brandon, Jessica, Ciara, Colten, Kiersten, PJ, Bobby, Lauren, Connor, Kyle and Evan, and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Frank (the late Helen) Murphy, Greg (Lorraine) Murphy, and sister, Teresa (Ted) Tanner. Along with raising six active boys, Catherine served on the Board of Governors of Denis Morris and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul, Linhaven, and Friends of Linhaven. Private family service will be held to celebrate Catherine, a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Catherine will be truly missed by all. The family has requested donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of Niagara. A livestream of the Funeral Mass will be available on the St. Alfred website.
The Final Tribute for Mrs. Craig has been postponed due to a family member contracting Covid.
