Cotton, Envern George "Vern" –
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 15th, 2022 at Henley House Long-term Care , in his 87th year. Envern, beloved husband of the late Gloria. Cherished father of Mona (Charlie) Mosher, Joe (Paulene), Godfrey (Laurie), Stella (Tom) Wright, Collin (Theresa), Norine (Ed) Hudson, Perry (Cheryl), Liz (Matt) Kelly. Loving grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Brother to Alfreda (Wilson) Girard, Ed, Allan, Kenneth (Denise), Paul (Judy), Theresa Baschuk, Gisele Beaudry, Tina (Ross) Girard, Maria Rehel, Anita (Bruce) Baschuk.
Envern is predeceased by his brothers Allyster and Harold and his sisters Aline Tremblay, Lumina Tremblay and Blanche Seymour.
He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. He will always be remembered for his devotion and love for his family, his kindness and his great sense of humor.
The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines 905-937-4444 on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 from 1 -4pm. If so desired donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society in Vern's memory would be appreciated by his family. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Henley house for their compassion and care.
As per Covid restrictions those wishing to attend the service must RSVP to the funeral home at 905-937-4444 as capacity is limited.
Double vaccination and proof od identity is requied, masks must be worn.
