Obituary of Anna Marshall
With broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Annabel “Anna” Cooper Marshall at her home, surrounded by her family on Monday, January 17, 2022 in her
83rd year. She is now reunited with her husband, Billy (2017) and her son Brian (2005). Cherished and most loved mother of Yvonne, and Gail (Rob Casselman). World’s Best Nana to Corey (Krista) and Taylor and World’s Best Great-Nana to Chris, Noah, and Abigail. Anna is predeceased by her parents and two older brothers. She will be greatly missed by her fur-baby Mandy. Anna is survived by extended relatives in St. Catharines, Wasaga Beach, Mississauga, and Acton.
Anna loved her family. Anna’s grandchildren doted on her, and loved her more than life itself. Despite her many health challenges, she woke up every morning singing and smiling. Her cheerful disposition and ‘come what may’ attitude made everyone who met her, love her. She never had a bad bone in her body, and never made an enemy. She was truly loved by everyone that crossed her path.
Special thank you to Anna’s daughter, Gail and Rob for caring for Anna in her home for the past five years. Gail’s care and devotion allowed Anna to remain in her home as Gail and Yvonne promised their father before his passing.
Visitation will take place on Monday January 24, 2022 from 12-2pm at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24th at 2pm in the funeral home’s Ceremony Room. Those wishing to attend visitation or service must RSVP to the funeral home at 905-937-444 as capacity is limited. Proof of double vaccination and identification is required for those who wish to attend. For those who wish to attend virtually, a livestream link will be provided on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by Anna’s family.
