Jordan Durliat

Obituary of Jordan Garret Durliat

                                                                                        JORDAN DURLIAT

Born on September 12th, 1996 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Jordan Garret Durliat left this world too soon at the age of 25 on the morning of Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 at his home in St. Catharines, Ontario.

He grew up in Ridgeway, and later lived in Stoney Creek and St. Catharines, graduating from Cardinal Newman Catholic High School in Stoney Creek. Jordan was shy but humorous, intelligent, a kind and loving son who was just getting his life started with his own dreams and plans. He wanted to go back to school for a career in game design, to get his driver’s license, and meet new people. Jordan was a true gentleman, and although his heart was huge, it wasn’t as strong as he was.

He was a nature lover, he liked to go for walks in the rain, and Jordan adored animals, especially his German shepherd, Harmony, who will really miss him. Jordan also enjoyed watching Netflix and movies, especially sci-fi or action, and his video game streaming shows.

Although he could be shy sometimes, his small group of close friends could always depend on him for a good laugh and some witty insight on any random topic. Jordan had a passion for video games playing with his online friends for hours, he was such a great listener, who would make you smile and laugh just by being goofy or doing a funny accent.

Jordan was a very special young man and he will be so dearly missed by all his family and friends.

Jordan is survived by his Mother Karen Rice, Father Robin Durliat, Brother Joshua Rice, Sister Amy Rice, Aunt Marlene Friedlein, Aunt Tricia Hardy, Aunt Katherine Coleman, Uncle Larry Coleman, Aunta Lee Durliat, Aunt Lynn Durliat, Andrew Reid, Nieces Trinity Rice-Colombe and Emma Rice, Nephews Colton & Mason Colombe, and Cousins Jack Coleman, Michael Showler, Eric & Connor Hardy, Sister in-law Lauren Adams-Rice and Brother-in-law Gordie Colombe. Jordan was pre-deceased by his Grandparents, Elaine & Carl Friedlein, Rosemary & Francis Durliat, and Uncle Derek Friedlein.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate if donations were made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Toronto General Hospital, Peter Munk Cardiac Centre. Thank you to Dr. Lamba and Dr. Luk and all the doctors and nurses that cared for him at St. Catharines General Hospital, and Toronto General Hospital.

A private family service and visitation will take place, cremation to follow, with internment and a Celebration of Life to take place at a later date.
