Obituary of Majella Lillianne Laliberte
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Hospice Niagara on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022. Majella, beloved wife of the late Lucien. Cherished mother of Lucie (Larry), Sonja (Leonard), Mariette (the late Alfred), and Diane (Ronald). Predeceased by her infant daughter and her son Gerry. Devoted Grand Mama of Heather, Wayne, William, Ruth, Kate, Candice, Chase, Cara, Sarah, Jane, Emily, Alfred, Kathleen, Karen, Tera, Lisa, Jared and Jessica. Great Grand Mama to 30 awesome children and 1 great great grandchild. Lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Jacqueline and Jeanette and their families.
Majella loved the birds, flowers and all of nature. She loved to sing and play the piano. She found joy in her children and grandchildren and all their musical abilities. She loved her family and was loved by all who knew her. She will always be missed.
The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 26th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. Vigil prayers at 3pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 27th at 11am at St. Julia Roman Catholic Church 251 Glenridge Avenue. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired the family asks that you consider a donation to Hospice Niagara in Majella's memory. As per Covid restrictions those wishing to attend the visitation and/or the Funeral Mass must RSVP to the funeral home at 905-937-4444 as capacity is limited.
Double vaccination and proof of identity is required, masks must be worn.
