Obituary of Marija Kurjancic

KURJANCIC, Marija- Passed away on Friday, March 18th, 2022 at Extendicare at the age of 92. Beloved mother of Zeljko. Cherished sister of Anna Orec and Kathy Peso. Marija will be sadly missed by her niece Vesna (Sam), who was like a daughter to her, as well many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada, Croatia and Australia. Predeceased by her brothers Tomo and Franjo and her sister Angelina.  She was an avid gardener, who loved cooking, baking and dancing. Marija also loved crocheting and knitting. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, March 23th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Wednesday at 7:30p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas  Aquinas Church,  316 Queenston Street, St Catharines on Thursday, March 24th at 1:00p.m. Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
