JONES, Douglas “Jonesy”

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Doug on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the young age of 69. He leaves behind his wife Sonja, his children Ryan (Tammy), Brandon (Noelle), Alicia and Patrice. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Emily, Julia, Samantha, Kailey, Olivia, Zakary and Nikolas and his fur baby Maddie. Also missed by Oma Van Es, the entire Van Es family, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Thank you to all the staff and Nurses at the St. Catharines General Hospital for all your love and compassion during Doug’s stay. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on April 7, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. A Celebration of Jonesy’s Life will be held at Big Marco's Italian Restaurant, 274 Fourth Ave, St. Catharines from 2-4 p.m. on May 15th 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
