Obituary of Sandy Showalter
Sandra "Sandy" Jean Showalter (nee Hull) 1954-2022
Sandy passed away in the early hours on Good Friday (April 15th). Sandy is survived by her husband Clarence, sister-in-law Phyllis, nephews MacKenzie (Nichole) and Harrison (Laura), as well as grand-niece Addison, and grand-nephews; Parker, Preston, and Henry. She was predeceased by her parents John (2005) and Jean (2009) and her brother Donald (2008).
Sandy was employed by the Province of Ontario Savings office for many years and was fortunately able to enjoy over 20 years of retirement. Sandy and Clarence were able to travel extensively and bought their dream home in Aruba.
Throughout their travels, Sandy always made, and kept friends effortlessly. We can say with certainty that her presence will be missed around the world.
Very special thanks to friends and staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre, St. Catharines, for their compassionate care.
Friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, April 21st from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines.
Celebration of Life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 22nd, 2022 at 2pm with a reception to follow.
A private interment will follow at a later date at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Centre) or Community Care would be appreciated.
