Obituary of John Peter van der Zalm
Peacefully on Sunday, May 8th, 2022 at Greater Niagara General Hospital. John, beloved son of Mary and the late Theodore. Dear father of Matt, Isaac, Malcolm and Saul. Devoted Opa of Eleina. Lovingly remembered by his brothers Jim and his wife Cathy, Ted and his wife Miriam and Don. John loved rowing, the cottage, and fishing. John spent most of his time with his children in the penalty box at the Niagara-on-the-Lake arena.
The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines 905-937-4444 on Thursday, May 12 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Liturgy on Friday, May 13th at 10:30am at St. Vincent de Paul, 73 Picton Street Niagara-on -the-Lake. Cremation.
