I am so very sad to hear of Gerry’s passing. My mom and Gerry were great friends from their days at Physiotherapy and a ton of fun. I take solace knowing that mom was waiting for Gerry up at heaven’s gate. My deepest condolences to Dave and Gerry’s family.

I had only met Gerry and Dave about 5 years ago at the seniors' bingos in Welland. They were both a lot of fun, easy to talk to, respectful, funny and dedicated to always helping others. Their commitment to each other was an inspiration to all who knew them. Unfortunately, due to Gerry's illness and covid-19, we never did get the chance to play nickel rummoli, but I am sure it would have been a very fun night. Dave, I send you my sincere condolences. You have lost a great life partner. Take care of yourself.

My heart aches in sadness at the passing of dear Gerry. I met Gerry and David almost twenty years ago. We were next door neighbours. I knew right away how special Gerry was. An immeasurable love for life, family, friends and his work as a physiotherapist. Gerry was very loved by many people. Funny, kind, joyous with great love for his family, especially his grandchildren. The number of guests and great laughter long into the night are testament to a life well lived.
Deepest condolences to David and Gerry's family and friends. Gerry will remain alive in my heart forever...sleep easy dear friend

October 9th, 2010 was the day of our daughter Jillian’s wedding. Being that I love event planning, I was to be at the venue for 6:00am to decorate the tables along with Gerry, Dave, my son Craig and daughter in law Jenny. I was awoken by the doorbell at 5:00am. There was Gerry (accompanied by Dave), an hour early, standing on my front porch filled with the most vibrant energy I have ever witnessed ready to begin the day. Craig, Jenny and I had to scramble to get ready, but oh what fun the five of us had in the early hours of that morning getting everything ready for the big day! Perhaps the most special moment was to witness Gerry’s pride as he walked our daughter down the aisle.
Gerry you told me you’ll always be looking over us, and for that I’m forever thankful. Always in my heart and never forgotten.

My deepest condolences to the family of Gerry Fortier. He was not only a good and kind gentleman, he was one of my best friends. My late husband Bob and I used to meet Gerry and David out in social gatherings and they even came to our cottage one year for a visit. I am going to miss him very much. RIP my dear friend, sending my love, Lynn Nadeau

I had the pleasure of working with Gerry many years ago…he was a great coworker. Gerry had a great sense of humour. He always spoke so lovingly of his family.(at that time, his first marriage). Sincere sympathy to all his family.
