Obituary of Wilfred Robson

ROBSON, Wilfred After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family at the St. Catharines General Hospital, Wilfred passed away on September 6th, 2012. Beloved husband of Sandra. Predeceased by his wife Daisy (1978). Much loved father of Pauline (Mark), Dean (Michelle). Loving stepfather to Colin (Anne), Chris (Wendy). Proud grandfather of Chase. Cherished brother of Pat and Derek of the UK. Also predeceased by his brothers John and Harold of the UK. He will be sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Gail, and many friends and family members. Heartfelt thanks to the nurses on the palliative care floor of the St. Catharines General Hospital for their care and compassion. Wilf, a GM retiree, was a die-hard Leafs fan, who also loved bowling, soccer, walks on the beach and enjoyed the occasional horse race with close friends Bill and Fran. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Wilf's life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, September 11th at 11am with a private interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
