Obituary of Donald Blay

Blay, Donald Melvin Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30th, 2012 at the St Catharines General Hospital, at 84 years of age. Devoted husband of the late Joan (2005). Loving father to Nancy (Luis) Cervantes of Scarborough, Ken of Port Colborne, Kathryn of St. Catharines and Christopher (Cathy) of Thorold. Cherished grandfather to Andrew, Carolyn, Steven, Nicholas, Zachary and Megan. Predeceased by his brothers Wilf (1962) Roy (2009) Ronald (2011). Don was a member of Oddfellow Lodge Union #16 for over 63 years. He retired from General Motors in 1991 with over 26 years of service. He enjoyed his woodworking shop where he spent many hours. Don is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 3rd, between 1-3 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of life will take place at the George Darte Funeral Chapel on Tuesday September 4th at 11am. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Children's Wish Foundation or Help a Child Smile.
