Obituary of Barbara Louise Bidal
BIDAL, Barbara (nee Michelin) †" It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of a beloved mother on August 26, 2012 at her home in St. Catharines at the age of 68. Loving mother of Jay and his wife Natalia, Tryna and her husband Don, and Trevor and his wife Tara-Lynn, Baba-Grandma-Gamma will be missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Daniil, Tayler, Tanner and Tatum. Barb will be sorely missed by her sister Laurene, her brother Bill, and her brother-in-law Harry, as well as by the many members of her extended family, for whom she was a constant source of loving support. Barb was the co-owner and manager of the former Garden City Travel and for many years arranged trips and holidays around the world for thousands of local residents. She also volunteered for more than 30 years as Zone 9 Registrar for the Ontario Lacrosse Association and was heavily involved in the local lacrosse scene, most recently as General Manager of the Spartan Intermediate lacrosse team. All her Facebook friends will miss her daily inspirational posts. Cremation has already taken place, and Barb†™s family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Thursday, August 30th from 3-5 pm, immediately followed by a service to celebrate her life in the funeral home chapel. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Autism Niagara would be greatly appreciated by the family.
