Claude-Denis Marcoux “Frenchie” passed away peacefully on August 8, 2022 at his residence, at the age of 62. He was born on January 25, 1960.
Claude is survived by his father Jerome Marcoux, brother Roland Marcoux, sister Michelle “Mimi” Marcoux Payne (Steve), niece Jessica (Mitch), nephew Jacob (Megan), great niece Hadleigh. Also survived by close friends Mariette and Ron Wallington and Robert Lauzon. Predeceased by his mother Jeanne Marcoux (nee Duchesne).
For years “Frenchie” was a professional truck driver, and knew the travel routes like the back of his hands. His passion was buying, fixing and selling cars. He loved his collection of lighters, models, toy cars, string art, race car #24 and collected memorabilia.
Mariette and Ron would like to express their thanks to the staff at Juravinski Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital for their constant active treatment with patience, Saint Elizabeth nurses for his excellent home care, Calea and Meira Care staff who delivered his medication and making a special effort at his convenience.
A Memorial Service for Claude will be held on Sunday, August 14 at 11 am at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. Donations in memory of “Frenchie” can be made to Juravinski Hospital.
