Obituary of Giuseppe Peracchia
Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on August 28 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Elisa Peracchia (nee Ferretti). Devoted father of Walter and Roberto Peracchia. Cherished Nonno of Joseph, Mark, Simona, Elliot, David and Aaron. Brother of Concetta. Giuseppe will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family.
Born in Atri, Italy, the second to the youngest of seven, he immigrated to Canada in the 1950's and settled in St. Catharines. As a long-time member of Club Roma he loved spending time with his family and friends playing bocce, attending dinner dances, and hunting.
Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Thursday, September 1st from 6pm-8pm. Vigil prayers will be held at 7pm in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church on Friday at 11 am followed by entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
