BUCKLEY, Eileen "Ginger" Marguerite
Peacefully on Saturday, August 25th at Pioneer Elder Care at the age of 91. Predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years Lloyd "Buck" Buckley.Much loved mother of Diane (Ken) Eller of Fonthill, Sharryn (Gene) Oleskiw of Wainfleet, Terry Buckley (Kris Ovstaas) of Toronto and Kelly Buckley of St. Catharines. Beloved grandmother of Lindsay, Cameron, Jaime, Liam and Adam, and loving great grandmother of Caiman. Missed by her special companion cat Tiffany. Also survived by many relatives and friends.
Ginger always had a ready smile. She enjoyed travelling, getting together with the †œLunch Bunch†�, and partaking of a Manhattan or a glass of wine at Happy Hour. She was an enthusiastic golfer and a proud member of the †œHole in One†� club. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker, and an excellent cook and seamstress.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Pioneer Elder Care and to Dr. Ken Taylor for their kindness to Mom and her family. Also our appreciation to CCAC, the Palliative Care team, and Stacey Ford, her in-home caregiver.In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Mrs. Buckley's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday, August 28th from 4-5:45pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 6pm.
If desired, memorial donations to the Rotary Club of St. Catharines would be appreciated by the family.
