Obituary of Eric James Dell
Eric Dell passed away unexpectedly Sept 21, 2022 at his home. He is
predeceased by his loving grand parents Walter and Sophie Spiewak,and
Ray and Irma Milner and his uncle David Dell. He is survived by his
loving parents Jim and Sophie Dell, his sisters Patricia Dell and
Melissa Bennett(Chris Bennett), his aunt Annette Koturbasz, and Ron and
Nancy Ruff.
Eric was a gift and a blessing to all who knew and met him.
He was always very active and athletic. He was a member of Sport By
Ability Niagara and excelled at track and field and competed locally and
internationally at the Miami Orange Bowl Junior Games and the Ypsilanti
Michigan Junior Games.
Track gave way to music especially karaoke. With his good friend
Chris they sang at many St. Catharines bars and a few competitions.
He was also active in sled hockey and played in Ontario and New York
state . He enjoyed giving hockey clinics in NY state from Buffalo to NY
City with his family and friends along for support and shopping. He
also tried out for team Canada. It was the highlight of his playing
time. He also looked forward to playing in the Windsor Indoor Classic
Games with his friends every winter. He was currently playing with his
best friend Chaz Fisher with the St. Catharines Thunder Blades.
Not only were Chaz and Eric teammates they have been roommates for
the last five years. They enjoyed going to music concerts and comic
conventions in Ontario, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Eric also had the unofficial titles of Golden Horseshoe Taxi and
family tech support.
Eric did all this while working for Canadian Tire Roadside
Assistance for more than 15 years. He enjoyed the work and all the
amazing people he worked with.
HE WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED AND WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYONE HE TOUCHED.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines Celebration of Life to be held at the Holiday Inn/Parkway Conference Centre, 327 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, Royal Henley Room, on Saturday October 15th from 1 to 5 p.m.
