Joan Mary Young (Schofield)
In her 97th year, peacefully on October 4th with her daughter at her side at Westhills Care Centre in St. Catharines. Predeceased by her husband Arthur, parents Robert and Annie Schofield, sister Betty Glynn and son-in-law Sam Fasullo. Survived by her daughters, Adrienne Fasullo, Elizabeth Palmieri (Adrian) and Catherine Goodale (Arnold Jarmack); grandchildren, Sam (Tracie), Tony (Pam), Michael, Kate, Sara, Olivia (Zach) and Ava; 8 great-grandchildren. Joan enjoyed crossword puzzles, baking, sewing, decorating, golfing (well into her 80's), and spending time with her family. She was a dedicated volunteer for many years at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Special thanks to the staff at the Loyalist and Westhills for their care and support. Cremation has taken place and burial at St. George on the Hill (Etobicoke) will be announced once arrangements have been made.
