Uncle Walter Thanks
Thanks Uncle Walt for being a great Uncle to me over the years. I look back at why it was so nice having you as an uncle a bunch of things come to mind.
As a youngster, I can remember the night or two that you and Choocha Anne took me in to spoil me for a little get away from Caroline, Julie and Susie. Then once the sports kicked in my Mississauga Indians team was renamed by you as "Miss-a-lotta", this one sticked for years as I was often on Mississauga teams. For some reason there was a "G G's pizza" in St.Catherine's that had a t-ball team and you often said they were a match for Miss-a-lotta. Thanks for the fun :>
With the canoeing you and Choocha Anne even came out to visit me down on the Welland Canal to show us support. You only came once, so I imagine due to the lack of action in canoe racing you stuck to the puck and ball sports :>
When I became a sale rep with Coke you handed me some books on professional sales. Those books actually helped me with the field I was getting into as well as your words about developing relationships.
You brought good cheer into my parents house when you guys came to visit us in Mississauga was something we could never get enough of. I ofter wished you could hang around longer as we always enjoyed your company.
Later in life, once Tammy agreed to marry me, you brought your good humour to the dumpy bungalow we bought. I said that we might reno it and you told me your gut feel - "Tear this thing down", those were strong words yet they made $ense and we did it. That was the first house I built and it was the best investment we ever made for our family.
Our three children were grateful to have you at their baptisms and we are all grateful to have had you in our lives.
Thanks and much love to you from Greg, Tammy, Charlotte, Kyle and Robert.
PS we can feel your spirit and know you are close by - Big Hug from us!

Uncle Walter, you have always set the bar high. You have given many valuable lessons to those of us that were lucky enough to have known you. Either in your words or by example, the most important lesson was to enjoy the life that God gave you. Every day. Enjoy your family and friends. Every day. We all saw that in the way you lived your life and the relationships you had with your friends and family Uncle Walter. You were a fun person to be around. Never at a loss for words a story or a joke. I believe over the years Chocha Ann, Al, Char, John, Amanda, Michael, and Lauren will have moments and think " What would Walt/Dad/Grampa do? (WWWD...a new bracelet?) He earned the love and respect of many people in his lifetime and we have all seen testament to that that over the last week. Uncle Walter you will be missed but never forgotten. If I can now steal one of his parting expressions that I have heard numerous times over the years,
" See you later Kiddo."
With Love,
Your Niece Julie

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Walter. I recall him so well adding to the Walker's Creek Neighbourhood Association's early successes. Particularly I recall he and Jack Ball working the Jump and Bounce in Walker's Creek Park at a party coincidentally held on Jack's 75th birthday. Walter was a warm, enthusiatic man and he is missed.

I wish to express my sympathy to you. All of us at London Life knew and respected Walter very much. While I have worked mostly in SW Ontario the past 28 years, for four years, I was a Manager in Guelph and then Mississauga and was more proximate to the office that Walter led so I saw him more in those years. I have many tremendously fond memories of his great sense of humour and his genuine desire to please and to listen to one and all.
May God comfort you in your sorrow.

We are so sorry to hear of Walter's and your dad's passing. He was always so friendly and easy to talk to. He was the kind of person you'd like to spend more time with, and we are sure that's what you will remember about him.
Now he is at peace ... and probably causing a few welcome problems in heaven with his jokes.

I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I will always remember how good both Anna and Walter were to my parents. Helping them plant their flowers in the spring and shovelling their driveway in the winter. Your kindness will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to my sister Anna and her family.
Walter was a special brother-in-law.
I still remember the time of Kyle's Baptism and it started to rain at the end of the celebration. Walt jumped into his car and took a bunch of tiger lilies from the ditch home when he closed his door. It wasn't until he got back to St. Kitt's he wondered where they had come from. That's what you call a flower transplat from Misalotta to St. Kitt's.
He always had a few jokes in his memory and sure loved to share them.
He will be missed by all his longtime friends. I know Jack will miss his golf buddy Walt.
You have been called by God. Your time here on earth was complete.
Until we meet again, may you rest in peace.
God Bless You and Your Loving Family that you have left behind.

Dear Anna, Charlene, Adam and all Walt's family,
Claudia and I met Walt and Anna just after they were engaged to be married,
just about this time fifty years ago. He was so handsome in his navy blue suit,
and Anna, so beautiful in her black velvet dress. Your lives unfolded most
beautifully these past forty-nine years of marriage, and in this time of great
sadness, may you, Anna, and all your family find comfort in your many happy
memories of a life well lived.
With love,
Ed and Claudia

Chocha Ann, Charlene, Alan, John, Diana, Amanda, MichaeI and Lauren my deepest sympathies to all of you at this very sad and difficult time. I am heartbroken to hear of the sudden passing of my Uncle Walter. I always enjoyed spending time with my wonderful Uncle Walter. He had an amazing sense of humour, was a skillful storyteller, a great listener and always gave me good advice. Uncle Walter was just fun to be around. As a kid and now as an adult, I often wished we lived closer to him because of how much fun my family and I had every time we came to St. Catherines or he came to Mississauga (or Missalota, as he would often say!) I will miss my Uncle Walter terribly, he will always be in my heart and Uncle Walter will never be forgotten. Until we meet again Uncle Walter, may God Bless you and keep you in His care.
I love you Uncle Walter, your niece Caroline
