Marion's work
In addition to Marion's invaluable role as family matriarch, I remember how she acted as intermediary between the doctors and the family. I specifically remember how she took charge when our grandfather Sam Edgar began to face health issues. She made sense of things for us...

A Role Model
As a child in the 60s, I was of the baby boomer generation where our mothers were still on the fence about working outside the home. My own mother, Colleen Edgar entered the workforce once we were all in school. But Marion Edgar was a Nurse - College educated, the mother of 4 children and she had a career as an RN. I can tell you I thought that was mighty impressive back then. To this day I think of Marion as a kind of trailblazer .....

What a beautiful photo of Marion. She is absolutely lovely. My sincere sympathies to my Edgar cousins, Kelly, Kerry, Kirby, Kim and their families and especially to Uncle Bill, who was married to Marion for 62 years.

Was so sad to hear that Marion had passed away. I had the privilege of working with Marion some 30 years ago at Chayelaine Villa. She was a mentor, a good friend and a helluva nurse. I once again had the privilege of meeting up with Marion when she came into Garden City Manor and was thrilled when she remembered me. I can here her calling my as I had apparently become to my great delight her private nurse. I loved reading the story of her and Bill and the growth of their lovely family (Who knew he was such a rogue). I will miss her dearly!
