Obituary of Mary Teresa Walsh

Peacefully on November 25, 2022 at the age of 102. Mary is survived by her nephews and nieces; Ellen, Pat and Tom Walsh, John Ward, and their families. Predeceased by her parents Ellen and Thomas Walsh, as well as her sister Francis and her brother Tom.

Mary worked as a Registered Nurse for her entire career at Hotel Dieu Hospital, notably as head nurse for the second floor. A devout Catholic, Mary was a longtime member of the St. Catharines Cathedral, and found comfort from the pastoral care provided by St. Alfred’s Church during her stay at Ina Grafton.

Special thanks to the staff at Ina Grafton for their excellent care of Mary for well over 20 years.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 1-5pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11am with burial to follow.
