Obituary of Pasquale Marsala
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Pasquale “Pat” on November 29, 2022 in his 84th year. Loving husband to Guissepina (nee Sinaguglia) for over 57 years. Cherished father to Jennifer Biscaro and John Marsala. Loved Nonno to Lucas (Erin), Hannah (Caroline), and Ruben Marsala, and Julia Biscaro (Ethan). Pat is survived by his sisters Guissepina (Franco Sciara) and Maria Rosa Mule, and his sister-in-law Joanne (Tony Felice). Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Genoveffa Marsala, and his brothers Joe and Vince Marsala. Pat will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom were very special to him.
Ever the entrepreneur, Pat began working in Sicily at the age of 9 delivering bread. He went on to be one of the original founders of St. Joseph’s Bakery as well as many other business ventures. He was happiest working on the family farm, and spending time with family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rawoof, Dr. Mitar, and Dr. Kim for their care of Pat.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Vigil Prayers will be held at 3pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, December 5, 2022 at St. Alfred’s Church at 11am with entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
