Obituary of Gordon Andrew Lay

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear husband and father, Gordon “Gord” Andrew Lay on Wednesday December 7, 2022. Beloved husband of 38 years to Eve Lay (Larouche) and father to Trevor Lay (Victoria McShannon) and Tyler Lay (Toree MacLean). Brother to Calvin Lay (Cathy Lay), David Lay, Garnet Lay (Shelley Lay), and Allan Lay (predeceased).

Gord was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. Gord was born on May 1, 1961. A lifelong community member of Port Weller, Gord enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends in the sun at the beach.  Gord was a proud member of the Local 837 and Operators Union Local 793.

Cremation has already taken place. A celebration of life is scheduled for December 18th from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Club La Salle, 111 Author St, St. Catharines for close friends and family.  In lieu of flowers, we appreciate donations in memory of Gord to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Scleroderma Foundation of Canada.
