Obituary of Laurette Marie Cullen
Laurette Marie Cullen passed away peacefully at Pioneer Eldercare on Thursday, December 8th 2022 in her 99th year with family by her side. Loving wife of the late Bill Cullen (1999); cherished mother to Karen (Andrew) Charlesworth and Holly (Dylan Griffiths). Mom was born and grew up on the Prairies in Alberta; however, she lived most of her life in Montreal where she met the love of her life, Bill, who immigrated from England. Together, they were doing what they both loved: dancing, listening to music and making memories. She was always proud to have been the Warden’s secretary for a number of years at St. Jean Brebeuf Church. Mom was always stylish - hopefully it rubbed off on us. She was always supporting us when we needed her and will always be loved by everyone who had met her. The family wish to extend their gratitude to the doctor, nurses and staff at Pioneer Eldercare on Lakeshore Road for their care and compassion over the last few years. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 29th 2023 at 11:00AM in the funeral home ceremony room with no cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation in honour of Laurette.
