Obituary of Claude Joseph George Germain
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Claude Germain of St. Catharines on January 30, 2023 at the age of 70. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 50 years, Debbie Germain. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Sabrina (Norm Greenwood), son Leo Germain, and his grandchildren Cody Crumb, Madison Crumb, Angelina Germain, Charlotte Germain, and Emma Germain. Claude will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Pauline Germain of Fabre, Quebec, and Micheline St. Amand (Bill) of Sudbury.
Claude loved to work with wood, and he enjoyed painting pictures. He was a very strong willed, expressive person—always saying what was on his mind. He could always be looked to for a strong opinion and good advice. He especially loved his basset hounds, tinkering in his workshop, fabricating and creating different projects. If someone needed to borrow a tool, chances are Claude had one in his workshop, ready and willing to lend a hand to those who needed it.
In keeping with Claude’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal service. Arrangements entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by Claude’s family
