Obituary of Kathleen Reilly
Peacefully at the Linhaven, on Wednesday February 1, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Reilly for 50 years. Loving and devoted mother of her late infant son Kevin, Marie (Dave), and Sheila (John). Cherished and proud grandma of Kateri (Michael), Kevin (Leanne), Kathleen (Greg), Joseph and Matthew (Kris). Great-Grandmother of Samuel, Mikah, Matea, Jesse, Dallas, Aurora and Mason.
Predeceased by her parents Alec and Maryanne Moore. Dear sister of the late Marie (late Peter), the late Betty (late Jim), the late Jim (Flora), Frank (Frieda), Margaret (late Bobby), Brian (Margaret), the late Anne and Gerald (June). Daughter-in-law of the late Thomas and Mary Anne Reilly. Sister-in-law of the late Monsignor Thomas Reilly, the late Mary, the late Katie (late Albert) and the late Sheila. Kathleen will be also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen lived her life and comforted her family through the gift of her Catholic Faith. Kathleen's hope and prayer was for us to all remain bonded through our Faith. She had a long career in nursing both in the UK and in Canada. She retired in the late 80's and turned her attention to caring for her beloved husband, Joe and being a shinning example for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Linhaven (Regatta) for their compassionate care of Kathleen over the last 2 years. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. As per Kathleen's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, February 6, 2023 at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St Catharines, commencing at 10 a.m. Committal Service at Pleasantview Cemetery, Fonthill will follow Mass. A reception will follow in the Kristen Fench Fellowship Room of the funeral home, 585 Carlton St. For those wishing to participate virtually, a livestream link can be found on the St. Alfred’s Church YouTube page. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent De-Paul (St. Alfred's).
