Obituary of Jan Wolodzko
Passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023 at the Henley House at the age of 93. He is now reunited with his wife Antonina (2017). Devoted father to Christine (David Johnston), loving Dziadzi to Matthew (Liz), Mark (Karen), and Jennifer (Bill), and pra-Dziadzi to four great-grandchildren; Megan, Kimberly, Connor and Silas. Jan was predeceased by his parents, brothers Adolf and Walter, and his sister Jadwiga.
Jan was born in Poland, and spent his younger years in Palestine and Jerusalem during the war. He made his way to England and reunited with this father and siblings. He married Antonina in 1952 and then decided to immigrate with his wife and daughter to Fort Erie, Canada in 1956. This was a bold a courageous decision, but the right one. He loved his new life in Canada and worked for Fleet Canada, Genaire, and Ford Glass Plant during his career. His family meant everything to him, and he dedicated his life to their security and happiness.
Special thanks to the entire staff at the Henley House, especially the PSWs and nurses in Montebello for their care and dedication.
