Obituary of Vincenzo "Vincent" Valeri
Vince Valeri was born on January 27th, 1944, in the small mountainside village of Vittorito, Abruzzo, Italy. Like he did his entire life, he challenged the conventional norms until his ultimate passing. After a short battle with cancer, Vince passed on February 7th, 2023, with his family by his side.
Beloved father of Alishia and Vincent (Angela). Loving husband of Marlen and stepfather to Gabriela and Diago. Proud Nonno of Layo and Mattais. Cherished brother of Luigi (Rita), and the late Maria Labellarte, both of Rome, Italy. Brother-in-law of Tony Valeri (Terri). Special Zio to Anthony and Luca Valeri. Devoted son-in-law of Maria and the late Enzo Valeri. Former husband of Sandra Valeri. Through his spirit of generosity and hospitality at home and abroad, Vince amassed friends from all over the world, including Italy, Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, the United States, Germany, and more.
Vince was a pioneer in Canada's printed circuit board industry, a remarkable political and fundraising strategist, and a community builder. His commitment to his work allowed him to shake the hands of the highest-ranked leaders at all levels of business and government. Vince was a generous and selfless man. He had deep compassion for those who were less fortunate or in times of need. He was always there to lend a helping hand. Never straying far from his roots, Vince was a key member of the organizing committee for the annual Vittorito Festa della Madonna del Borgo, a proud Honourary Alpino and member of the Associazone Nazionale Alpini Sezione Di Hamilton.
Vince enjoyed all that life had to offer. He combined his love of gardening, food, wine, travel, family and friends to create the most amazing gatherings. They were filled with spirited conversations, love and laughter. He was an exceptional cook, and his meals were legendary. Food conservation was a constant theme throughout his life. Most Sundays, you could find him at the soccer field with his club Proto or watching his beloved childhood club Inter Milan. A life so well lived.
