Obituary of Sheena Wardlaw
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sheena Wardlaw at home on Saturday, June 3rd 2023 with her family by her side. Beloved wife to Dave Wardlaw for 55 years; cherished mother to: Craig (Jen) Wardlaw, Heather (Glen) Humphreys and Graeme (Rebecca Comeau) Wardlaw; proud grandmother to: Haley and Braeden; sister to Joyce (the late George) Samuel (nee McKay) and Ian (Ann) McKay, loving aunt to Bruce and the late Scott and Ian Jr., Sean and Samantha. Sheena will be greatly missed by her family in Canada and back in Scotland. Being quiet and reserved, but observant, Sheena enjoyed teaching, whether it was practical knitting and crocheting with Heather, to life lessons with Haley. The family cannot begin to extend their immense gratitude to the wonderful St. Elizabeth Palliative Care Team, PSWs and all who offered excellent care and compassion towards Sheena and the entire family at such a difficult time. In keeping with Sheena’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and a visitation on Thursday, June 8thth 2023 at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00PM with a funeral service Friday, June 9th 2023 in the funeral home ceremony room at 11:00AM. If desired, please consider making donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre in memory of Sheena.
