Obituary of Maria Taxeira Marques Alves

Maria Alves passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on June 14th, 2023 at the age of 85 years. Reunited in heaven with the love of her life José and sons Abel and Robert.  Leaving behind her two sons Jorge (Lynn) and José (Ana Paula). Also leaving behind her grandchildren Jacob, Marissa, Stacey, Lisa, Madysyn, Symona, Carina, Leonardo, Miguel and Julianna. Maria was also a great grandmother of two. We would like to thank the PSWs from Paramed and Nurse Next Door for their patience and kindness. We would also like to thank the staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their care during Maria's stay.

Immediate family expected at George Darte Funeral Home at 10am Monday June 19th. Funeral Mass for Maria will be held on Monday June 19th, 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 169 St. Paul Crescent, St. Catharines. Burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Walker Family Cancer Centre in memory of Maria would be appreciated by the family.
