Obituary of Denis Joseph Guy Pigeault
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Pigeault after a long and courageous battle at the age of 78, on Saturday June 17th. He was a loving husband to his predeceased wife Lorraine (Nee Pratt). Cherished father to Craig (Margaret), Mark Phillip, Jamie (Sue). Wonderful and loving grandfather to Amanda (Cody), Nick (Tori), Mark Jr., and Victoria (Krystian).
Dennis was a one-of-a-kind man with a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He spent many summers out on his boat fishing at Beaverland Camp on the Marten River; where he was known as the “Mayor”. Dennis was an avid traveler with his loving wife Lorraine, whom he also spent many wonderful evenings watching Wheel of Fortune, or trying his hardest to beat her at Jeopardy. In his early days he was a die hard Habs fan, but transitioned over the years to a Maple Leaf’s fan. When not up north fishing, his home away from home was Fuglys, where he was THE shuffleboard king.
For nearly 40 years he worked as a foreman at Dana Canada, where he treated everyone with the utmost respect, he was everybody’s favourite foreman to work for. He was always quick with a joke or a laugh, and sharp as a tack to keep the parts flowing.
We would like to express gratitude to the doctors and nurses who helped care for Dennis at Welland Hospital.
As per Dennis’s wishes, cremation has taken place, with the help of GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton St., St Catharines.
A Celebration of life will be taking place on Sunday July 9th starting at 3:00 PM, 732 Niagara St., St. Catharines, Grantham Lions Club.
