Obituary of Joseph Smith

Joe Smith passed away on July 11th at the St. Catharines General Hospital after a long illness at the age of 67. Cherished father to Christopher and Samantha; dear brother to Irene Audette and Mary (Peter) Kelly, best brother-in-law to Sandra and Joanne; beloved Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife and soulmate, Carol Smith and his Mother and Father, Joseph and Annie Smith. Joe was a long time employee at the City of St. Catharines. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Expressions of gratitude to the nurses and healthcare staff that cared for him, especially Lindsey. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and a time of visitation will begin on Saturday, July 15 at from 9:00 a.m.to 10:00 a.m.  with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m.. Inurnment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Vincent de Paul or Project Share would be appreciated by the Family.
