Obituary of Minodora Tifui

Passed peacefully in her sleep at Hospice Niagara on July 12th 2023. Loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, wife, friend and neighbour. She was a gentle soul who toched many lives with her kindness and loving ways. She leaves behind her daughter Luminita, grand-daughter Alexandra, her sister and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Vasile.

Minodora loved her scratch cards, Lotto Max and 649, crochet, knitting, gardening from flowers to herbs and could always be found cooking a traditional Romanian meal (she made enough to feed an army). As a child she was the best daughter a parent could ask for and will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Minodora came from a small Romanian village; she was eager to see the world and learn about new cultures and made a good life for herself and her family in Canada. She easily adopted Canadain culture while also maintaining her simple lifestyle, which she so enjoyed. She a pious woman who loved to attend events at the Romanian Church.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 9 am at Biserica Niagara Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel Romanian Orthodox Church, 118 Glenridge Ave., St Catharines,  with burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
