Obituary of Clarissa Jane McQuarrie
Clarissa Jane McQuarrie
November 3, 1959 - August 1, 2023
Surrounded by family, Clarissa gained her angel wings after a hard fought battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father Cecil and her brother Shane. Survived by her mother Minnie, and her siblings; Kerry (Karen), Lorna (Danny), Tony (Annette) Dwayne, Emerson and Catherine. Her children were her pride and joy, that she was so incredibly proud of; Jamie (Judy), Jason, Joey (Brittany), Johnny (Katrina), Courtney (Josh) and Marty. She was a very special Nanny too; David, Katlynn, Lilly, Shane, Ava and Tyler. Clarissa has many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins that were also very special to her. She will be missed by her dog, Buddy, and the special companionship they had. Her Best friend Debbie held a special place in her heart.
Clarissa was often found listening to country music, specifically Loretta Lynn and she also loved the Bee Gees. She began decorating for Christmas in early fall. Clarissa has an expansive Santa collection that took months to display and will continue to be displayed in her memory across her children’s homes.
During her battle with cancer her daughter, Courtney, took on her primary caregiver role happily and proudly. Her kids cherished all of their time together, down to her final moments.
Family will accept friends and family on Friday August 4th 2023 at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St, St Catharines Ontario L2M 4Y1 (905) 937-4444 from 11am-12:45pm. If so desired donations to the Grimsby Benevolent Fund would be appreciated by the family.
