Obituary of Vincenzo Mazza
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Vincenzo Mazza, on August 2, 2023, at the age of 81.
Beloved husband of 55 years to Lucia Mazza. The best father to Martino (Rita), Vince, and Roberto (Jen). Cherished Nonno of Vincent and the late Ariel and Stella, Alessio and Maliha.
Predeceased by his parents, Martino and Rosaria Mazza and his father and mother-in-law Vincenzo and Giuseppina Frederico.
Missed by his siblings, Carmela (late Angelo) Agnino, Joe (Josephine) Mazza, Frank (Rita) Mazza, Angelo (Lucy) Mazza, Rosa (late Nick) Marano, Rosalie (late Charlie) Zambito, Sam (Francis) Mazza, Maria (Battista) Vendittelli. He will also be missed by his family in Italy, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Born on April 10, 1942, in Licata, Sicily, Italy, he moved to Canada in the 1960’s. Vince worked as a welder at Port Weller then Foster Wheeler for many years. He was also an avid farmer, real estate investor and entrepreneur.
He loved his grandkids, tending to his gardens, orchards and animals, loved telling stories and cracking jokes. He had a zest for life that will never be forgotten.
Visitation to take place at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St.l Catharines on Monday, August 7th, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Service will take place at George Darte Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 8th at 11:00am followed by interment at Fairview Mausoleum in Niagara Falls. Reception to follow at George Darte.
