Obituary of Liberato Bagazzoli

BAGAZZOLI, Liberato (Leo) Passed away of a broken heart, with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012 at the Hotel Dieu - Shaver Hospital, in his 86th year. He goes to join his beloved wife for over 60 years, Minta, who passed away in April 2012 . Loving father of Salvatore "Sal" (Josephine) and Paola (Serafino) Di Marco. Cherished Nonno of Rocco, Vasile "Vasi", Laura and Elena. Dear brother of Giovanni (the late Margherita), Ilaide (the late Alfredo) Bagazzoli. Also predeceased by his sister Celestina and husband Umberto, brother Quinto and wife Dora. Dear brother in law of Franco (Angela) Catana, Marino (Sadie) Catana, and (the late Basilio) Nina Catana. Liberato will be lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews both in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Liberato was employed as a Linesman with the St Lawrence Seaway at Lock 3 for over 25 years. Liberato's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St., on Friday, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Hotel Dieu-Shaver Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Sister Louise and the 2 west nursing staff of the Hotel Dieu Shaver, for their compassionate, outstanding care of our father. Special thanks to Dr. G. Arvinte, who made a significant difference for her personal touch, to both our dad and previously our mom.
