Obituary of Bessie Robinson
Kathleen Bessie Robinson passed away quietly at Albright Manor on October 15th, 2023 at the age of 100. Loving mother of Elaine Reid. Proud grandmother of Jason and his wife Andrea and Jessica. Pleased as punch great grandmother to Aidan, Liam and Sydney. She was predeceased by her mother Marion Catherine Anker and father Martin Percival Smith. Her sister Winnie and brothers Ernie, Bert, David, Arthur and Harry. She is survived by her sister Alice. She was recently predeceased by Jean who was so much more than a sister-in-law. Bessie was Aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom she cared deeply about and whose company she thoroughly enjoyed. She was never happier than when she was organizing a party, whether it was for family or friends, whether it was a sing-a-long or a euchre party. The family would like to thank the staff of 4 East at Albright Manor for the care and kindness shown to our mom. The coffee pot was always on at Bessie's Roadhouse and meeting place.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday October 20th at 11 am at St. John Anglican Church, 2878 St. John's Drive, Jordan Station with inurnment to follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Third Avenue Louth, St. Catharines. If desired donations in memory of Bessie can be made to Crohn's and Colitis Canada or Charity of Choice.
