Obituary of William Mychaskiw

William Mychaskiw was welcomed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Friday, October 20^th 2023 in his 98^th year at the NHS-St. Catharines. William was survived by his cherished wife of 74 years, Mary Mychaskiw; loving children, Roman (Julia) Mychaskiw, Peter Mychaskiw; adoring grandchildren, Halya (Andrew) Chase, Christina (Jeff) and Taras (Erin); beloved great-grandfather to, Colin and Owen Chase; sisters, Stephania and Maria. Predeceased by William is his daughter, Irene Mychaskiw. William was a long-time President of Black Sea Hall and member of the Brotherhood of Ukrainian Veterans. In keeping with the family’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Guests are welcome for a time of visitation on Monday, October 23^rd from 6:00-800 PM with Panachyda at 7:00 PM.  Divine Liturgy to take place on Tuesday October 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 14 Rolls Ave., St. Catharines. If desired, donations may be made in memory of William to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation.
