Obituary of Shirley Pizzacalla
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our mother, Arlene Pizzacalla, in her 88th year on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Niagara Health System, St. Catharines Site.
Arlene was predeceased by her husband Angelo (2019) and leaves behind her three children and their families, Mark (Christine), Angela Leone (Daniel Andrews) and Paul (Paula) as well as her grandchildren, Erica Pizzacalla (Dave), Michael and Sarah Leone, Amanda Pizzacalla and Anthony DeLisio, and Nicholas Pizzacalla and Alison Sheets and two great-grandchildren Brodie and Hudson DeLisio. Lovingly remembered by her brother Richard Malton (Barbara), her brothers-in-law Mario Pizzacalla (Anna) and George Lillo (Grace) her sisters-in-law Joanne Malton and Judy Kratz (Albino) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Reg Malton (Helen), Jim Malton (Rosemary) and Bob Malton and her sister Marguerite Ellis (Jack)
Arlene was a lifelong CWL member at St. Alfred Church.
The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday ,October 26th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers at 3pm. Funeral Mass on Friday morning, October 27 at 11am in St. Alfred Church 272 Vine St., St. Catharines Entombment at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold.
Special thanks to Mom’s euchre, puzzle, and bridge friends at The Rennie Senior Apartments especially Alice Kent who became Mom’s dear friend at her time living there.
