Obituary of Rosa Felice

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Rosa Felice on October 27, 2023.  She is survived by her sister Pasqualina Stabile and sister-in-law Vincenza Felice (Italy) as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces, and nephews both in Canada and in Italy.  She was pre-deceased by her parents Vincenzo and Vincenza, her sisters Antonietta D'Elia, Maria D'Elia, Lucia Cristofano and her brother Angelo Felice.

Rosa immigrated from Cercemaggiore, Campobasso, Italy in 1964 and lived with her sister and brother-in-law Antonietta and Antonio D'Elia and their six children.  She began working immediately first on the Niagara fruit farms, then securing a job at Ridley College where she spent 37 years as a housekeeper.  There she made many friendships and was respected by the students.  In her retirement, she loved being surrounded by her family, baking, cooking, and tending to her vegetable garden.  She spent many days with her neighbour and special friend Santina Trivieri baking and canning or just having coffee together.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the PSWs at Care Partners and the nurses and doctors at the St. Catharines General Hospital who gave her exceptional care as well as the neighbours who helped her with many tasks. 

The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday, November 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers at 3pm. Funeral Mass Friday, November 3rd at St. Alfred Church, 272 Vine St. at 11am. Entombment Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations may be made to Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital or St. Alfred Church.
