Obituary of Ronald Burton French

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce Ronald Burton French has entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. Loving husband to Muriel for 73 years. Cherished father to Paul and Judy, Kelly and David (Cody, Courtnee, Alden and Hunter), Keith and Melissa. Proud Papa to his grandchildren Bonnie, Jenni, Michael and Samantha and his great grandchildren Jordan, Lyric, and Blair. Predeceased by his sister Gladys and daughter-in-law Kim.

Ron had been employed at General Motors for 33 years before retiring in 1986. One of his favorite past times was volunteering at the Grantham Optimist Club. He was a charter member ever since they received the charter in 1954. Ron was inducted into the St. Catharines Sports Hall of Fame in 1999 and he was a life time member of St. Barnabas Church.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St on Wednesday, November 8th  from 5 - 8pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 9th at 12, noon at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 31 Queenston St. If so desired, donation made in Ron's memory to Community Care would be appreciated by his family.
