Obituary of Gord English

It is with heavy hearts the family announce the peaceful passing of Gord English on Friday, November 24^th 2023 in his 78^th year. Survived by his cherished and devoted wife, Gail (nee Milton) of 54 years; loving children, Dave (Shawn) English, Michael English, and Amy (Fraser) Bain; grandchildren, Cameron, Emmalee and Kenneth; sister, Cathy (Tom) McCullough; sisters-in-law, Anne Milton and Judy Maddess; and many nieces and nephews. Gord retired as a Chartered Accountant after a successful career spanning over 40 years. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed many summers at the family cottage on Eagle Lake. In the recent years with his eyesight declining, Gord found solace in video-calling his family, whether it was across the country or the ocean. Gord will be forever remembered and sadly missed by all those whose lives he touched. In keeping with Gord’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and the family welcome family and friends to attend the funeral service for Gord on Monday, December 4^th 2023 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 1557 Pelham Rd., Fonthill beginning at 10:00AM with a reception to follow in the church hall. A private family burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
