Obituary of Lucille Angeline Chafe
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lucille Chafe (Lucy), at the Niagara Health System, in the early hours of December 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 27, 1951, in Shawinigan, Québec, Lucy was 72 years young.
Lucy is predeceased by her dearest husband Brian (2017) to whom she was married for 39 years. She will always be missed by her two children, Tanya and Jason, and her cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie, Cole, and Keegan. She has reunited with her parents Alide Bérubé, Liliane Lavallière and many other family members.
Lucy loved life, music and playing cards with family and friends. She had an infectious laugh that was guaranteed to brighten anyone’s day. She will be greatly missed.
At Lucy’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive guests at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, December 10, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the George Darte Funeral Chapel followed by a reception luncheon in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Autism Niagara or the Lung Transplant Program (UHN of Toronto General Hospital) would be appreciated by the family.
