Obituary of Riccardo John Casciato (Rick)

CASCIATO, Rick - Passed away with his loving sister Dora by his side on Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at the St Catharines Hospital at the age of 70. Beloved brother of Dora (Bruce) Ruch. Cherished brother in law of Jane Casciato. Uncle of Tina (Sean), Amy (Chad), Michael and John Ruch. Great uncle of Sophia, Ty, Sloane and Dylan. He is survived by many cousins in Canada, United States, Belgium and Italy. Predeceased by his parents Angelo and Concetta as well as his brother Michael Casciato. Rick was a diehard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. He was also a huge fan of Elvis Presley. A sincere thank you to all of the staff at Bethesda-23rd Street where Rick lived for many years for all of their care and compassion. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St.Catharines on Tuesday, December 12th from 10a.m. - 12p.m. A Funeral Service for Rick will follow at 12p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Bethesda Foundation - 23rd Street Group Home would be appreciated by the family.
