Obituary of Ferruccio Antonio Zanatta
FERRUCCIO ANTONIO (TONY) ZANATTA
With deep sorrow, the family announces the peaceful passing of Ferruccio on Sunday, December 17, 2023 in Hamilton. He was the beloved husband of over 53 years to Louisella (Cavallin), the devoted father to Derek, Mark (Jenny), and Celia (Paul), and the adored nonno to Trevor, Olivia, and Saf. Ferruccio is survived by his eldest sister Savina Zanatta (late Luigi), and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Clemente and Maria, his sisters Lina Frassetto (late Roger) and Anna Soligo (late Arduino), and his brothers Corrado (Antonietta), Rino (late Carolina, late Giuseppina), Celio (Zita), and Settimo (late Gloria). Also survived by his sister-in-law Susan Caporicci (Guy). Ferruccio was a high school teacher, an employment counsellor, and a professor at Niagara College. The family extends sincere thanks to all the staff at Harbour North One, St. Joseph's Hospital, especially to the compassionate palliative care team. If you so wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara or Community Care St. Catharines would be appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers. According to Ferruccio's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home, (905)-937-4444.
