Obituary of Julie Kosic
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we the family of Djurdja “Julie” Kosic (nee Mirkovic) announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, December 27th 2023 in her 86th year. Julie was survived by her cherished niece, Lilly (Zoran) Ivanovic, nephews, Dennis (Svetlana) Mirkovic and Rodovan “Roy” Jakovljevic and many other extended family members in Serbia.
Julie is now reunited with her parents, Radovan and Ilinka Mirkovic, brother, Miodrag Mirkovic and sisters, Rada and Gena.
Julie had elegance, was loyal and caring to all and even her loving animals. She worked as a hairdresser for many years in the Niagara Region and had many friends that will miss and fondly remember her vivacious spirit.
In keeping with Julie’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A private family burial has been held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, January 2nd of 2024. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Humane Society of Greater Niagara Animal Clinic in memory of Julie Kosic.
