Obituary of Susan Rose Gray
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of their dear sister, Susan Rose Gray (nee Maksymyshyn) on Tuesday, January 2nd 2024 in the comfort of her home. Susan is now reunited with her beloved spouse, Wayne F. Gray and is survived by siblings, Julie (John) Rennie, Diane Guggenmoos and Frank (Tina Mirabella) Maksymyshyn; proud aunt to Rebecca Graves, Nathan, Joshua and Rachel Black, Aaron Guggenmoos, Justin and Jared Guggenmoos, Megan and Emily Maksymyshyn and many extended family members. Sue worked as a Cost Accountant for Procor for 25 years, was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting with a love of collecting antiques and Indigenous art. As the family matriarch, spending time hosting family gatherings were most important to her. She is loved and will be forever in our hearts. The family would like to give special thanks to the ALS Society, Home and Community Care Support Services and the many other care professionals for their exceptional care throughout Sue’s courageous battle with such a difficult disease. In keeping with Sue’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A private gathering and service will take place. If desired, please consider in lieu of flowers to donate to the ALS Society of Canada in memory of Sue.
