Obituary of David Frederick Curry
We are devastated at the sudden loss of Dave Frederick Curry on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the age of 70 years. Loving husband of Denise Brooks. We had just celebrated 50 years together. He was the beloved son of Lena Varnai and cherished brother to Joe. Brother-in-law to Pam & Paul, predeceased by his sister-in-law Linda. Uncle to Brad & Lee, Robyn & Aaron & Trevor & Laura. Great Uncle to Grayson & Garrett & Erika & Great Great Uncle to Baby James. He is also survived by so many friends.
Dave worked at General Motors but had to retire due to a disability. From 12 years old Dave's passion was always playing music till his last day. He played the drums, banjo, harmonica, acoustic guitar but his love was his electric telecaster guitar. He played with various bands but he loved the Blues. The last 20 years he played with The Mighty Duck Blues Band & guests every Saturday afternoon. He will be missed by so many. My life will never be the same without him.
The Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday, January 25th from 1-2pm. A Final Tribute for David will follow in the Ceremony Room of the funeral home at 2pm. If desired donations made in David's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
