Obituary of Gary Wayne Morris
MORRIS, Gary - Passed away with his loving family by his side, at the St Catharines Hospital after a brief illness caused by a sudden fall at home; on Monday, February 12, 2024 in his 81st year. Beloved husband and best friend of Barbara Mutton for 21 years. Cherished father of Candida (Jon) Pilkington of Port Colborne. Gary is survived by his brother in law David Mutton of Uxbridge as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Delmer and Lennette Morris, his brother Ronald Morris, his sister Beverly Niven and his in laws Helen and Cliff Mutton. Gary was a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer at General Motors for 44 and a half years. He was an active member of Elm Street United Church. Gary was a passionate auto enthusiast, especially for his two 1934 Ford classic cars, which he took great pride in building from the ground up. In his retirement, Gary and Barb enjoyed travelling on many trips. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, February 16th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A private family burial will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. A Funeral Service for Gary will take place at Elm Street United Church, 11 Elm Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, February 17th at 11a.m. Memorial donations to Elm Street United Church, Diabetes Canada or a Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family.
