(Tuesday’s child is full of grace)
He was surrounded by love and eternal grace.
And this is his Legacy … what he leaves behind …
His wife, Sandy.
His 3 sons: Jim (Patricia), Blake (Rebecca), and Jordan (Ann).
His 3 grandchildren: Jarvis, Theo, and Robin.
His 4 sisters: Elly (Bram), Helen (John), Sharon (Jeff), Debbie (Gord)
His 32 nieces and nephews.
His 33 ½ great nieces and nephews who called him Pancake Man. Fred knows their names and knew their stories.
Meyers Farms - Fruit, Flowers, and all the people who worked with him and all the families that belong to them.
His scores of friends - the Golfers, the dog owners, the thinkers, and the dreamers.
Fred joins his dad Jim, his mom Sina, his sister Irene, and all those loved ones missing from many family tables.
Fred was raised by Jim and Clazina Meyers, who established the Meyers Farm in 1955 in Niagara-on-the-Lake. In 1974 Fred joined as a partner in the family business. Through hard work and determination Fred led Meyers Farms to a company with over 100 employees to date; all of which he cared for deeply. Beyond the farm Fred was passionate about supporting local community organizations and those in need.
Wherever he went, Fred was affectionate and often the source of a laugh or smile, frequently at his own expense. With his family he was also deeply sensitive, and he never shied away from telling his family just how much he cared about them. In later years, Fred found a gentleness within himself. Some of his fondest moments were being surrounded by his loved ones, with his dog at his side, quietly taking in the joy of the family he helped create. He loved to hug, and we will miss the love we felt in his embrace.
As we move forward, our message to you is one of gratitude, love, and grace. You are forever part of the Freddie family.
